  • What days/times are the lessons? Are they live?
Lessons are not live nor scheduled, so you don't have to worry about any scheduling conflicts! And because they are online, you can watch them from anywhere, anytime! Once you register for a course, you may proceed at your own pace, watching as many or as few lessons each week.
  • Do you offer a Certificate of Completion?
Yes! For those who take the Master-Course and complete all exercises, quizzes and tests, demonstrating their competency in the course material, they will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end.
  • Can I pay in installments or do I have to pay in full?
Yes, at the very bottom-left of the "Courses" page, you can pay in installments via PayPal. For the Master-Course: $100 every two weeks for a total of 5 cycles. Once the mini-courses are available and all courses are hosted on LearnWorlds, all payments will be made there, including installments.
  • How long are the courses?
The Master-Course is more like a conservatory program and may take up to 6 months to complete. The mini-courses, once available, will take anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks to complete.
  • Are there exercises, quizzes, tests? What is the workload like?
Yes. There are exercises & quizzes provided throughout the course, 2 live chant rehearsals, and a test at the end. However, none of the quizzes or tests are "graded", only corrected with notes for your benefit. While the courses are very in-depth, the workload is light: enough to help you understand the material and grow in your competency without over burdening you.
  • Are there any pre-requisites or text books needed?
There are no pre-requisites or text books required for these courses. However, basic chant knowledge and the ability to sight sing with some amount of ease is recommended. This course teaches both "Solesmes Method" and "Semiology" in depth. If a student does not already own a copy of the Graduale Triplex, this will need to be obtained for study in the Semiology module. Some other books that may be "useful" might be: for the Solesmes Method, "Laus In Ecclesia" book 1; for Semiology, Dom Cardine's "Gregorian Semiology."
